The Main Street Arts Council, Hoxie, in coordination with the Colby Community College Art Department, is inviting the public to attend a Northwest Kansas Area Arts Town Hall meeting on Thursday, Dec. 14 at 6:30 p.m. at The Jonas Gallery, 405 N Franklin, Colby.

Anyone with an interest in the arts (all mediums and fields) as well as local city and county government leaders, community foundation staff and board members, and area private foundations are encouraged and welcomed to attend to learn more about arts activities across the region as well as meet the staff and representatives from the Kansas Creative Arts Industries Commission (KCAIC).

KCAIC is the state arts agency under the Kansas Department of Commerce. It is led by Director Curtis Young, Topeka, and Assistant Director Kate Van Steenhuyse, Wichita, both of whom will be in attendance during the event to provide an overview of the organization, funding opportunities, and more.

Light refreshments will be provided.

The Main Street Arts Council is an organization dedicated to promoting the arts, encouraging creativity, serving the arts community and acting as an advocate for the arts.
