Lyrics:

She was born in 1948
Oakley was her school it was great
She was always on time and never late…
She ate spinach and she said it was great?

Chorus
Mama is that right, is that right
Grandma is that right, is that right
Papa’s at it again, he’s making us grin
Mama is that right, is that right.

She has two boys and five grandkids
She loves her family and her town
She fell in love at her dad's parts store
She had 20 kids, Is that right?

She worked for our community
She loved spreading empathy
She worked hard every day counting money for the pay
She took naps in the vault every day?

Football games with baskets of fries
Watch her kids at Derby races
Drag racing with her grandkids, oh what a joy
She went jeeping to the top of Everest?

Mr. Cattle Man

Lyrics:

He was born in ‘42, grew up on a farm
Without electricity there wasn’t any charm
Saturday afternoons they all went into town
He rode bus, number 10, to the houses all a round

Chorus
Hard work is in his blood, he knows no other way
From the suns first morning light till the end of the day
This gentle man knows life’s tough, He’d have it no other way
He’s a hard-working cattle man and he loves it that way.

Drafted into the army where he served his country well
Found the girl in ‘66, back to Oakley they would dwell
Ready mix, construction, then back out to the farm
Started raising cattle with the strength of his arms

A proud German family he knew how to work the land
It’s where he found his calling it’s where he took his stand
Run his farm and cattle drives with his family by his side
And that’s what brings him joy, it’s been his whole life’s

It can be expensive taking care of a wife and kids
These responsibilities are treasures he holds dear.
Working cattle everyday can put you to the test
But out there in the field well you know that you’ve been blessed

Lyrics:

Born in Colby raised in Monument
Always with family always with friends
Loved her teachers and going to school
She was happy and that was the truth
She was happy and that was the truth

Chorus
So many faces on the sidewalks, on the street
Each tells a story, everyone that she meets.
Some speak of sorry, some tell of joy
She speaks a kind word to each one that she greets

Her parents got married in 1948
They taught her to be loving, kind, and great
Her grandparents they lived far away
But they shaped her life is so many ways
They shaped her life in so many ways

Down at the speed way motors were running
An old rusty truck with a broken front door
Driving old pickups on the old country roads
Lots of great stories there’s oh so much more
Lots of great stories there’s oh so much more

She loved her friends and doing their hair
Created hairstyles that many would wear
All of the stories that came from the chairs
The best darn stories from anywhere
The best darn stories from anywhere

All Growed Up

Lyrics:

Sometimes you mess around and get in trouble
Teacher said, “Nose on the chalkboard wall”
In the summertime we ride our bikes
Until the lights come on, then we go home.

Chorus
Some folks grow up fast, while others grow up slow
Some just seem to never grow up at all
Being All Growed Up is not about your age
Or even if your 10 feet tal

Eighteen years old right out of school
Tryin’ to make his way in this big cruel world
Driving everyday just tryin’ to get paid
Makin’ a new path in his brand-new world.

The Judge has three children, two boys and one girl
His wife’s name is Tara, his one and only pearl
Family always comes first it’s what he did say
In the end it is the only way

Words of advice to keep you “All Growed Up”
Keep smiling and don’t let your anger show
Don’t stay in a bad mood, give it all you’ve got
Help each other even when it’s tough.
